The newly released Sony PXW FS7, Sony PXW-X70, PXW-X180, PMW-1000, PXW-Z100… or typical models Sony F5, F55 all record XAVC videos. [b]STEP 4.[/b] After all necessary settings, hit the convert button to start the XAVC to ProRes conversion on Mac OS X. Once the conversion process shows 100%, click Open to get the output videos. Now you can edit the encoded Sony XAVC videos in FCP 7 without any problem.
